Open Hours skill is used to define the business hours (the time during which a business or organization is open for customers / visitors) when a caller asks for them.
The phrases that can trigger Open Hours are:
What are your hours?
Are you open on Saturday?
Goodcall supports irregular working hours / varying schedules. Irregular shifts / variable hours mean that you don't have a set schedule for a work week. Instead, you work different shifts or hours within a week or your shift schedule changes from one week to the next.
Open hours also supports multiple intervals, (time intervals - to manage time gaps between shifts) that can be added manually.
If you are open 24 hours, you can select “open 24 hours” from the list.
There’s also a place to add any additional open hours information that you’d like to share with your callers for example: walk-ins are welcome, our thanksgiving hours are X am to Y pm, etc.
*Automation using Google, Yelp & WiX:
Open Hours can also be automated if you choose to integrate with Google, Yelp or WiX during Goodcall account creation. If you have your business listed on Google or Yelp, it can import the special hours for holidays.
If you created your Goodcall account using your business phone number while signing up, these automations are enabled to refresh your open hours from the platform you selected. The data refresh is done at 1am Eastern time daily.
When the automation is enabled, the Open Hours skill will look like one of the below. Updating the open hours must be done in the appropriate platform, not in Goodcall.
CALLER (EXAMPLE ): “What are your hours today?”
AGENT: “We’re open now and closing at 9:00pm.”
